One Year since the establishment of CAPA

Targeted actions, a steadily growing number of members, and a stronger voice for Corporate Affairs in Greece

The Corporate Affairs Professional Association (CAPA) marks one year since its establishment, strengthening the institutional “voice” of Corporate Affairs and Strategic Communication professionals.

Its journey began with 44 founding members from across the broad spectrum of corporate affairs and corporate communication. Created “by professionals for professionals,” CAPA is built on collaboration and collegiality and now counts more than 130 members, a number that continues to grow.

On the occasion of the Association’s anniversary and the start of the new year, a dual celebration event and traditional New Year cake-cutting ceremony were held at the Athens Olympic Museum, the capital’s only Olympic museum, at Golden Hall.

Anthi Trokoudi, President of CAPA, presented a brief overview of the Association’s activities in 2025, emphasizing its commitment to three strategic pillars:

• Connectivity: Bringing together professionals, academics, scientists, and young talents in a strong network, while offering opportunities for networking, mentoring, and professional development.

• Development: Collaboration and engagement with international organizations to exchange knowledge and best practices, and to promote professional excellence.

• Influence: Promoting Corporate Affairs as a strategic driver of business growth and establishing Corporate Affairs professionals as key interlocutors on industry issues and challenges.

Ms. Trokoudi noted: “Strengthening our voice, which was first heard a year ago, is our main goal for this year. In this context, a broad strategic plan has been approved by the Board and is currently being implemented, including targeted actions, institutional interventions on a range of issues in the Corporate Affairs and Communication sector, and the expansion of the Association’s membership and impact.”

She also referred to the importance of interaction and the increasing participation of members in Working Groups, which implement programs, initiatives, and interventions addressing current Corporate Communication issues. CAPA’s founding philosophy places Working Groups at the heart of the organization, as they expand active engagement, strengthen networking, and ensure transparency, accountability, and a shared framework of ethics.

During its first 12 months of operation, CAPA participated in the Delphi Forum and more than four major industry and business conferences, organized two events in the “CAPAcities” series on developments in Corporate Communication, and, in collaboration with ANT1 MediaLab, created the “Corporate Affairs Training Hub,” a professional development initiative aimed at excellence in Corporate Affairs and Public Relations.

It is recalled that CAPA’s nine-member Board of Directors, serving a three-year term, consists of the following executives:

• Anthy Trokoudi, President
• Vassilis Lolas, Vice President
• Rineta Mitsi, Secretary
• Dimitris Agrafiotis, Treasurer
• Tonia Gogkou, Member
• Pakis Papadimitriou, Member
• Eleni Sourani, Member
• Roi Haikou, Member
